3BL Associates Launches First Annual Bahrain Responsible Business Survey

3BL 'Triple Bottom Line' Associates (3BL)-- a Bahrain-based social impact consultancy and think-do-tank, will be conducting the first annualBahrain Responsible Business Survey to identify the understanding of responsible business, and the level of corporate social responsibility (CSR) practices in the Kingdom of Bahrain.

The survey, which should be filled out by anyone working in Bahrain, can be found by visiting the link: http://responsiblebusinessbh.questionpro.com/

"A 2010 report by UK-based organization, Business in the Community, concluded that companies which consistently manage and measure their corporate responsibility outperformed their FTSE 350 peers on total shareholder return (TSR) in seven out of the last eight years.

"Moreover, the TSR of these companies recovered more quickly in 2009 compared with that of their FTSE 350 and FTSE All-Share peers," said Leena Al Olaimy, Co-Founder and Managing Director of 3BL.

"We hope that anyone who is interested in learning more about how their organization can simultaneously contribute to Bahrain's social development and economic growth through responsible business, will support our research by taking our survey http://responsiblebusinessbh.questionpro.com/ .

"It is our hope that the Responsible Business Survey will initiate conversations that start to take place in every boardroom--large and small--and are on every corporate agenda in the Kingdom of Bahrain," Al Olaimy continued.

In addition to the survey results and analysis, which will be made freely available to the public, the Bahrain Responsible Business Survey will feature a selection of case studies profiling the most cutting-edge local, regional and international companies operating in Bahrain, and that have adopted CSR in innovative ways.

Al Olaimy also added that she hoped the Survey results would stimulate intellectual discourse on socially responsible business in Bahrain, and contribute to the sparse locally-specific available literature on the topic.
