Ritz-Carlton in breast cancer awareness drive

The Ritz-Carlton Doha, in partnership with Hamad Medical Corporation, is running a ‘Pink Ribbon Campaign’ that will be held throughout October, the breast cancer awareness month.
The objectives of the campaign are to support those fighting against breast cancer and to encourage screening as the survival rate is significantly higher in the case of early detection. 
A series of ‘Pink’ programmes have been organised starting from the ‘Pink’ Afternoon Tea at La Mer on the 23rd floor. The first highlight of the campaign will be the ‘Stand Up to Cancer’ event, organised today (Friday, 5 October) by Ladies of Harley.
The programme will be starting with a kick off ride from Doha Exhibition Centre to The Ritz-Carlton, Doha followed by a series of performances by International Academy of Intercultural Dance. 
The Second highlight will be the ‘Breast Cancer Awareness Day’ on October 20. Various specialists will speak while a group of survivors will give a personal perspective over the matter. 
The doctors from Hamad Medical Corporation will set up a screening booth on site where participants can get the testing for free.
