- I am an oral and maxillofacial consultant and CSR consultant. I was graduated from the Faculty of Dentistry, Alexandria Egypt in 1986. I received my master degree in 1992 and my PhD in 2000 after two years training in the Medical College of Georgia. I am currently, an assistant professor in the Oral Surgery Department, Faculty of Dentistry, Alexandria University, Egypt and research fellow of the Oral & Maxillofacial Biology, School of Dentistry, Medical College of Georgia, USA. I am the chairperson of the CSR committee and member of several committees at Dr. Soliman Fakeeh Hospital (DSFH). I am a certified 6Sigma Green Belt , certified on CSR and Competitiveness from the World Bank Institute and on sustainability reporting from the GRI. I presented and published several lectures related to dental implantology, CSR and TQM nationally and internationally. I am a member of several well-recognized international Dental and CSR organizations.
Within the context of CSR and Corporate Relations, I was in charge to introduce the sustainable practice within DSFH. My responsibilities include formulating. Implementing and monitoring a CSR strategy and related policy and the publication of the first CSR report for DSFH based on the GRI guidelines in 2008. Under my leadership and with the help of the CSR team, DSFH was the first to publish CSR report in the healthcare sector in the MENA region in 2008 and the first to publish an externally verified report in 2010 in Saudi Arabia. In 2011, DSFH published the first A+ CSR report worldwide and the first to publish a combined report (GRI/COP) in 2012. It is worth mentioning that I was the editor of the last two reports. I am the co-author of the “Good Hospital Guide” which is considered the first sustainability guide directed to the healthcare sector worldwide and the author of the “Communication Strategy in the CSR context” and other online publications that can accessed from my website www.drtehemar.com.

A review of the Fortune top 1000 companies list, reveals that among the 14 listed in the “Healthcare: Medical Facilities”, not one has issued any kind of non-financial reports.
