Oman LNG donates funds to association of disabled

The Ministry of Social Development and Oman LNG signed an agreement on Sunday at the ministry’s headquarters under which Oman LNG will donate 250,000 rials to the Omani Association for the Disabled. The funds will be used for purchasing prosthesis for the disabled.

HE Dr Yahya Bin Badr Al Ma’awali, Undersecretary at the ministry, said that the continuous initiatives, which embody the corporate social responsibility for Oman LNG, translate one of the recently launched and promoted programmes namely ‘Takamul Project’; a partnership programme between the public, private sectors and civil society.

On his part, Khalid Bin Abdullah Al Massan, Chief Corporate Affairs Officer at Oman LNG, who signed the agreement on behalf of the company, said that the funds come within the company’s social responsibility.

Over the past 14 years, the company has donated 50 million rials for 3,300 projects. Yahya Bin Abdullah Al A’mri, Chairman of Omani Association for the Disabled, hailed the agreement and the subsidy provided by Oman LGN to the association.
