A strategic partnership for corporate social responsibility was formed between Construction Products Holding Company (CPC) and Tamkeen International for Management of Development Projects. Maie Omar Binladen, Deputy Director for the Corporate Social Responsibility Department of CPC, signed the agreement with Assia Abdullah Al Alsheikh, Executive Director of Tamkeen.

The agreement, which was signed alongside the Saudi Corporate Social Responsibility Forum, consists of four phases and aims to launch programs and initiatives of corporate social responsibility that contribute to strengthening and expanding the company's scope of work.

Commenting on this partnership, Dr. Faysal Alaquil, Director of Business Development and Corporate Social Responsibility for Construction Products Holding Company (CPC), said, "This partnership reflects the interest of Construction Products Holding Company in the area of sustainable development, and comes within a series of programs undertaken by the company to build a strong relationship between private sector companies and the community. This will alleviate the burden placed on the public sector, as well as enhancing social responsibility and helping public sector organizations in accelerating overall development."

The first phase of the four-phase partnership aims to develop a strategy for corporate social responsibility to serve the company's strategy and objectives on one hand, and to develop the target group of stakeholders on the other hand. This phase strategy has stakeholder's involvement through consultation and identification of their needs and priorities and is developed by priority commensurate with national development needs.

The second phase of the partnership formulates the strategic direction and the adoption of clear criteria for measuring and developing initiatives for the next two years.

The third phase, which was started this week, involves training of candidates in the company's staff to be able to manage and evaluate the programs as well as create a responsible environment within the company. It includes creating internal policies and procedures to stimulate responsibility in all sections through launching initiatives, placing communication plans and presenting sustainability reports.

Through these phases, Construction Products Holding Company and its subsidiaries will focus on the leading application of corporate social responsibility activities to affirm its respect for the ethics of corporate social responsibility. It aims to benefit and support the community in achieving sustainable development and thus strengthen its human resources by qualified capable staff that can carry out the responsibility of social work.
