Samsung continues 'Hope for Children' campaign

Samsung Electronics Levant recently launched the second phase of its 'Hope for Children' campaign on Facebook, where the goal is to collect donations for the benefit of the SOS villages in Amman and Irbid to be sent by the 'Bus of Hope' on December 18th and 20th.

In line with Samsung Electronics social responsibility, the vision of the "Hope for Children" campaign which was launched globally is to highlight the importance of children's health and education. In the region the campaign started by visiting the SOS villages in June of 2010 in Jordan, Lebanon and Syria.

Expressing his enthusiasm towards the campaign, Mr. Sang Sok Roh, President of Samsung Electronics Levant said, "We at Samsung truly believe in the value of children's health and education for their future's well being. And here we are once again, continuing the journey we started more than a year ago, as we believe in sustainable community activism."

"This campaign signifies the necessity to sustain proper health and education needs for the underprivileged children. And Samsung Electronics will continue to explore the various opportunities to make an impact on these children's lives and a chance for a brighter future," he added.

The facebook "Hope for Children" campaign encourages fans on the Samsung Levant page to donate books, clothes...etc and also to volunteer in the giving of the donations and participate in the entertainment activities of the day.

What's worth mentioning, Samsung Electronics Levant placed a booth to receive encouraging letters during the Samsung Amman International Marathon sport village which was held in October 2011. And these letters will be attached to the books that Samsung will donate to the children of the SOS villages during this month.
