Qatar Project Management (QPM), one of the region's premier project management companies and the first Qatari firm in the field, is proud to report the generous response of its associates to the recent fundraising campaign in aid of Somalia organized by the company.

In August, as part of QPM's ongoing business strategy of Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR), the company initiated a fundraising drive to assist those being affected by drought in Somalia. This drive was designed to give QPM associates the opportunity to effect change through donations, while simultaneously raising awareness of the ongoing humanitarian crisis in the East African country within the Qatari community.

QPM's associates were asked to raise money through this internal donation drive to aid Somalis that live without proper nutrition, shelter, healthcare, and education. 

The response to the staff appeal was very encouraging and QPM Managing Director, Dr. Hassan Al Fadala, commented, "The humanitarian crisis in Somalia required and requires our attention. QPM's response to the issue was to implement an internal donation campaign among our staff and I am very proud to report that our associates were not found wanting.

"Following a fantastic response from our staff, we have been able to pass on a sizeable donation to Qatar Charity, the body which is coordinating Somalia relief efforts from this country. QPM is committed to a strategy of including CSR in its business mix and it's really gratifying to know that our staff fully embrace this ethos as well.
