Kuwait Finance House offers KD11m to support, finance charity projects of Al-Zakat House

Kuwait Finance House (KFH) offered KD11m of zakat money to Zakat House, in order to finance charity projects in Kuwait and overseas. KFH collaborates with concerned official authorities working in the aid and charity field, which cements KFH's social responsibility role.

KFH's Chairman Sameer Al-Nafisi stressed while receiving Zakat House General Manager and other officials who received the cheque, that KFH will continue to shoulder its social responsibilities to serve Kuwait and its people through direct financial support to charity, or through expanding its role as a successful Islamic financial institution that offers its clients services and products that meet their requirements.

He added that such products and services boost the economy, local products, and Kuwaiti merchants. He revealed that KFH looks forward to playing a more prominent role in the economy arena during the coming period.

Moreover, he said that KFH prioritizes the government's development plan, and aims to support projects executed by official charitable societies.

He noted that KFH was the first Islamic financial institution 33 years ago, and that its establishers made Shariah the cornerstone of the bank.

Meanwhile, Zakat House General Manager Dahi Al-Ojail said that such a generous donation highlights KFH's keenness to serve the society, and mentioned that the donation will help in financing Zakat House's activities and abilities.

He applauded KFH for cooperating with various official and public authorities to serve those in need.

Furthermore, he stated that part of the donation will be allocated for projects in Kuwait, while the other sum of money will finance overseas charity projects that are under the name of Kuwait.

He added that such overseas contributions polish Kuwait's image worldwide and strengthens ties among Islamic countries.
