Festival Centre call in support to the Emirates Thalassemia Society during Ramadan

To embrace the "Spirit of Giving & Sharing" of the Holy month, Festival Centre Dubai Festival City has announced its charitable initiative and call in support to the Emirates Thalassemia (ETS) Society during Ramadan.

Festival Centre initiated a significant campaign and donation drive, encouraging shoppers and visitors to pledge in support of this worthy cause, through its Ramadan Moon Calendar countdown projection on a giant LED Screen at Festival Square which unveils the moon days phases alongside a run-through of donation contribution messages to raise awareness of the widespread Thalassemia disease in the UAE.

Denise Chamassian, Senior Marketing Manager Festival Centre said: "Acting towards our corporate social responsibility and commitments, this year Festival Centre is proud to support the Emirates Thalassemia Society under the theme 'with your support, a little can go a long way'.

Our aim is to mainly spread awareness of the Thalassemia disease in our own community as 1 in 12 people in the UAE are carriers of the Thalassemia gene and we would like to call in all our visitors to support our initiative in order to achieve its hopes".

The Emirates Thalassemia Society drive continues till the last day of Ramadan and ETS donation box is available at Festival Square, Festival Centre.
In support of the less fortunate, Festival Centre will be hosting a Ramadan experience with Iftar dining and edutainment activities for the orphans of Dar Al Ber Charitable Society throughout the month of Ramadan, where each child will enjoy a meal offered by MacDonald's, lots of sweets offered by HyperPanda, Dinosaurs tour offered by Dino Live and Dhs50 in Dubai Festival City Gift Vouchers.

Festival Centre brings back the warmth of Ramadan through the season's themed décor where customs and traditions are represented across the mall along with a host of cultural and authentic activities to entertain shoppers and families, giving them an opportunity to truly experience the Spirit of Ramadan. Among the activities are a Heritage Souk and traditional handicrafts, Hakawati storytelling and Oud performances, kids arts & crafts, puppet shows and popular Freej book of riddles, daily from Iftar onwards.

Shoppers also have the chance to enter the 3 days Eid raffle draws through data registration between 8:00pm and 11:00pm with no spend limit (during Ramadan only) TO WIN 1 of the daily Prizes in Dubai Festival City Gift Vouchers and Umrah trips!
