Dubai Chamber conference on May 22 to discuss sustainable business practices

With its integrated approach to embed new CSR and Sustainability within the corporate business strategy, the Dubai Chamber of Commerce and Industry is organising "Dubai Dialogue: Responsiblity Matters: Driving Sustainability forward through Smart Business Planning" on Tuesday, May 22, at the Dubai Chamber headquarters.

Based on the success of the past 'Dubai Dialogue' conferences, the Dubai Chamber 's Centre for Responsible Business will be holding its latest dialogue which has become the largest sustainability conference bringing together global CSR experts and local business leaders face to face to discuss and debate sustainable business practices.

This conference will provide an ideal platform for sharing and debating CSR and sustainable business practices. Being Dubai's first and largest business led dialogue on sustainability, the conference will add to the participants' knowledge and resources to bring clarity and direction to the application of CSR and allow those offering CSR/Sustainability services to share real-world experiences with other like-minded organisations.

Prominent local and international speakers will discuss Designing CSR Strategy based on Organisatonal Mission, Vision and Values; Improving Business Profitability and Performance by Engaging the Stakeholders; Leadership in Advocating CSR in Dubai; Reputation Risk Management from a Sustainability Reporting Perspective; Corporate Social Responsibility to Corporate Social Opportunity; Climate Change as a Source of Strategic Risk - the Case for a Planned Response; Motivation for Change to Sustainable Management Practices and Leading Change Towards Sustainability.

A Dubai Chamber initiative, the Centre for Responsible Business (CRB) was formed in 2004 for promoting Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) in the UAE. The Centre assists Dubai businesses in applying responsible practices and encourages them to enhance their performance and competitive advantage.
