Damas, the Middle East's leading international jewellery and watch retailer, has recently conducted (January 28 - 29, 2012) a 'Financial Fitness Fair' for its employees and their families at its head office at Jumeirah Lakes Towers, Dubai.

The fair is part of an ongoing employee-assistance program initiated by Damas Cares, the corporate social responsibility (CSR) division of the jewellery retailer. 

Financial Experts advised the attendees on how to plan their personal finances and achieve savings, as well as obtain debt counseling if needed. More than 150 employees attended the fair, where representatives from Mashreq Bank, National Bonds, and ICICI Bank provided comprehensive and confidential advice ranging from savings & investments plans through to insurance cover, auto insurance and national bonds.

A representative from the ICICI Bank India flew to Dubai specifically to be a guest speaker at the event, offering expert advice on a range of topics. Niraj Shah, Senior Vice President - Head of Product Management, ICICI Bank, discussed retirement solutions, pension schemes, insurance schemes, and children's benefit plans, among other topics.

In January 2012, Damas Cares has earlier conducted a medical and dental check-up activity for more than 200 employees.
