Arab Bank supports Tkiyet Um Ali's poverty eradicating efforts throughout the holy month of Ramadan

For the third consecutive year and as part of its social responsibility program "Together", the Bank is continuing its efforts to assist in eradicating poverty across the Kingdom by collaborating with Tkiyet Um Ali to distribute 6,000 meals throughout the holy month of Ramadan to families in need.

In addition, Arab Bank will support Tkiyet Um Ali's meal packaging initiative at designated kitchens through the participation of employee volunteers who will be responsible for preparing and packaging Iftar meals for delivery across Jordan.

Covering the five governorates of Amman, Zarqa, Irbid, Karak and Maan, Arab Bank will distribute 200 Iftar meals per day to underprivileged families as part of its efforts to continually expand the breadth and reach of its various social responsibility and community-oriented initiatives.

Ms. Dina Shoman, Executive Vice President of Branding at Arab Bank said, "We are pleased to continue our collaboration for the third consecutive year with Tkiyet Um Ali in providing Iftar meals to underprivileged families across Jordan during the holy month, in addition to significantly supporting Tkiyet Um Ali's efforts toward alleviating hunger on the national level. We are committed to making a positive impact on the local community and Tkiyet Um Ali will help us reach these families effectively and efficiently."

Ms. Shoman added, "Our employees are engaged in volunteering through the packaging and distribution of Iftar meals in Amman, Zarqa, Irbid, Karak and Maan, combating poverty and hunger while continually seeking to advance and reinforce the spirit of volunteerism. This is important during Ramadan as well as throughout the year, as it provides our employees with a greater sense of community involvement and enhances their civic stewardship toward their country, in line with our historic and deeply-ingrained culture of sustainable development."

For his part, Director General of Tkiyet Um Ali, Mr. Mahmoud Seif Al-Sharif: "We are grateful for Arab Bank's cooperation with Tkiyet Um Ali. Our programs aim to serve families in need and provide food security for families living in poverty pockets across the Kingdom, even in the remote areas. We hope Arab Bank continues to provide support and collaborate with us in order to alleviate the suffering of these families."

Arab Bank customers can also support Tkiyet Um Ali's food distribution efforts and participate in the giving process through the Bank's established "Together" program donation channels which offer a number of simple, convenient and transparent channels such as ATMs, Arabi Online (Internet banking), Hala Arabi (phone banking) and Arab Bank branches. In addition, the Together Platinum Credit Card provides a unique built-in mechanism that allows cardholders to donate a small percentage of their purchase amounts to the program's participating non-profit organizations.

The "Together" program unites four reputed and well-established non-profit organizations: Tkiyet Um Ali, King Hussein Cancer Foundation, Al Aman Fund for the Future of Orphans and The Royal Society for the Conservation of Nature serving a wide range of sectors including health, poverty alleviation, environmental protection and education.
