- Sanaa is a young and highly motivated individual holding a Bachelor’s degree in Applied Science of Applied Biology. She has a strong background in various laboratory analyses, and is familiar with most of the common biological standards which she obtained during her various summer internships and on the job training. She has gained outstanding knowledge and experience in the tendering process during her time spent in Rural Areas Electricity Company where she fully managed Board Members Meetings for Purchase Committee, Technical Committee, Internal Tender Committee & Tender Committee. She has gained a depth of experience in undertaking environmental assessments. Her current responsibilities cover conducting Environmental baseline studies, complying the EIA “Environmental Impact Assessment” documents, delivering complete designs to key clients and liaising with both Be’ah & MECA (Ministry of Environment and Climatic Affairs). She has recently been involved in the preliminary design of Oman Railway Project where she is responsible to review the alignment design, project description, Baseline studies in terms of Air Quality, Climate, Noise and Vibration, Groundwater & Soil Quality, Geology, Hydrology, Socio-Economic and Archaeological Sites, its impacts and Mitigation Measures during both construction and operation phases.
Sanaa has always strived to be a person who makes a “positive impact” towards the environment. Those issues that are faced globally such as “Global Warming” and “Ozone depletion” has driven her with a determination to make sustainable living not only more accessible, but globally recognized. This has particularly provoked her interest and played a large part in her decision to pursue her higher studies in Sustainable Development.
She is determined to obtain a challenging position in an organization where she can utilize her education on business; enhancing her college experience along with professional experience and vice versa.
