Professional Background

Sammiya is having an enriched experience of approximately 16 years with multiple organizations and diversified sectors inclusive of cooperate and development organizations. Experiences and successes attained in areas of program designing & management, fundraising, research, evaluations, Agri- businesses and economic development, governance, and humanitarian works in conflicted and disaster prone contexts by making substantial contributions for OXFAM, CARE, USAID, DFATD, EU, UNHCR led projects. Moreover, Sammiya has also worked for establishment of successful marketing plans, direct marketing projects and campaigns for large multinationals like P&G, and Nestle, and also for large national companies like Highnoon, Impact advertising to acquire new market segments.
Sammiya has been in position of country management team member from past seven years in capacity of various roles at Oxfam, CARE and MEDA at different times; with a clear role to contribute for organizational steer to align with its vision through clear pathways. Her earlier experience in multi-contextual countries like Liberia and Pakistan adds to her deeper understanding, flexibility and sensitivity to adopt new cultural and professional needs.
Training on new and innovative set of knowledge always remained sammiya’s forte to build strong teams to deliver highest level of results. She has been nominated as trainer for management and staff of INGOs in Pakistan on areas like conflict assessment tools specifically for MSTC, DNR along with other technical subjects like gender in value chains, leadership’s models for changing contexts.
