Believing in the fact that there are solutions available for the corporate sector to carry on corporate social responsibility in a win-win situation, Khalid Khan is a professional carrying for around 14-years of experience while working in both Corporate as well as Socio-economic development sector. In addition, worked with Federal Ministry of Science & Technology as well as Federal Ministry of Education. He is working as a consultant right now by the name of South Asian Business Concern. Academically qualified ; M.Sc in natural Sciences from the University of Punjab, Lahore and MBA coupled with various trainings.
He was selected by World Bank Paris to represent Pakistan in Oslo, Norway in 2002 on Annual World Bank Development economies conference. He has been fortunate for the publication of working paper on World Bank site on EFA program. Since 2004 till to date he has been invited every year by a Think Tank Under Foreign Office of Commonwealth, Government of United Kingdom. He has been a speaker and participant over the issues such as Global Financial Regulations, Poverty alleviation, China & growth, Environmental impediments etc. He has been a very well connected person with International Policy Makers, Corporate concerns, Academia, Diplomats from Europe, USA, Africa, Asia etc.
His professional experience while working with Corporate sector helped in getting empowered to understand as what are the core concerns of growth & profitability and how CSR could be inculcated in such a manner so that the fears of corporate sector could be mitigated. He has been providing consultancy services to various companies regarding Responsible business practices, CSR adoption. He has been active on International for a and experts providing consultancy services within the domain of CSR. He is currently engaged with a UAE company and in the process of launching a software for Corporate sector for detecting pollutant gases.
While working with Social sector, core area was to support entrepreneurships, Micro financing/ micro crediting, women empowerment, Child labour reduction, Environmental rehabilitation, disaster management, supporting talent etc. Working experience is country wide and not only in urban but in slum areas of Punjab as well as Khyber Pakhtoon Kha & AJK.
He is willing to contribute his learning , gained internationally as well as locally among and with the participants of CSR.
