- Manage Social Impact
o Acquire socio-economic baseline data and ensure the findings are fully integrated into relevant business planning activities (desktop research).
o Deliver the Social Impact Assessment for exploration blocks (NE Obaiyed and N Matruh)
o Implement the Social Management Plan for ESHIA (Risks/Impacts-Mitigation)
o Deliver the Community Map for the exploration blocks
o Develop & Implement Social Performance Plan (reviewed annually)

- Deliver Local Social Investment
o Oversee the development of a robust project-level social investment programme (as per steer of ESHIA study; combining short and long term initiatives and in alignment of the country Social Investment (SI) strategy). Delivered the installation of two Light Centers in Haqfet El Gallas village in Matrouh as pilot project; included signing an MOU with Philips Egypt & Governor of Matruh & a project ceremony

o Implementing Intilaaqah trainings in Matrouh Governorate
o Input in local content policy/plan (owned by CP) to maximize on encourage contractors for hiring local people from the community

o Represent company at key engagements which require social input/knowledge (ie. NGO engagement; local community engagement & consultation).
o Build and maintain strong working relationships with key stakeholders in the operational areas including (but not limited to) regulators, local authorities, NGOs/CSOs and cultural bodies etc.
o Ensure the field based project & SP team (including contactors) are executing the agreed community engagement programme
o Establish the Framework of the Community Feedback Mechanism (and become custodian)
o Support and ensure communication of the emergency response procedure to the affected communities (especially during drilling)
